night off tonight.
i think much coffee is called for.
took last night off from slam. sent the team to a regional slam without me. told them that they should learn to think on their feet without me around. in reality, i just was not in the mood to drive to boston & spend the night in a club listening to poets. there are times i just need quiet, times i need to be alone with the thoughts in my head. last night was one of those times. they did well, by the way.
see, they don�t need me around all the time. perhaps that will lead to more time off. hahaha. thinking of just taking a drive tonight.
there is something about driving on a warm summer night with the windows down & good music on the radio that makes me feel relaxed & alive. i once took a �late night� drive like that & ended up 5 hours from home. can�t get away with that anymore. maybe i�ll just drive to boston, grab a coffee & then drive back. who knows? i need more warm breezes & music in my life.
