UPDATE 10pm: it has started. God help us.

very busy at work today. been putting stuff off & now i need to play catch-up on a few things before i end up in a backlog hole again. having a hard time getting back in the swing of things at work� feels like i�ve been under the gun for a long time & now things are on the calm side & it is throwing me for a loop. makes me wonder if i can get stuff done when i�m not under a deadline.

speaking of deadlines�
the bush deadline just passed & i�m wondering just how long he�ll wait before he starts playing G.I. Joe with real G.I.s. i can�t believe that he is playing �wild west� with the middle east. our world is about to change for the worse & i don�t think most people realize just how long we�ll feel the repercussions from this. we are opening Pandora�s box & i don�t expect to find hope in the bottom of this.

a friend of mine has been writing in his diary about his reluctant support for the war. i don�t agree with what he is saying, but it is nice to see someone take the time to think out a position before taking a stand. it is also very refreshing to see someone in the arts scene who is not following the crowd but rather following their heart & mind. we tend to surround ourselves with like-mined friends & i think we forget just how hard it can be to disagree with the enclave you are part of� be that speaking against the war when surrounded by those in support of it, or speaking in favor of war when surrounded by those opposed to it. if we could learn to respect & even honor these kinds of differences, then perhaps wars would become just a footnote to a truly civilized society.

i know, i�m dreaming again.
but every great change started with someone�s dream. more tomorrow.
