Day One, Part II the ship has eleven floors. (at least it has eleven that you can get to. there ate at least three floors above for the helm & radio room & at least one below the first. i wonder if this is the basement of the ship & how much you dont want water in the basement on this thing but i digress) the only public area on the first floor is the docking area for port stops. the cabins start on the second floor. the higher the floor the larger & nicer the room. we enter room #2038 to find a space about the size of my bedroom at home. this space will sleep three of us for five nights. beds for three (one that drops from the ceiling to form a bunk bed) bathroom with shower, love seat, desk, closet & us. at least if we start to sink well be the first to know. by this time im a wreck. i started getting a headache around 10:00am. by the time we made it to the ship i had a throbbing headache. by the time our bags showed up with my pill case i had a full-blown migraine. i skipped dinner & slept like a person nailed to the bed by a spike through the eye. did not surface from my stupor until it was time to put the boy to bed. went back to sleep & finally wandered onto the deck for a smoke. by the time i was ready to eat the dining room was closed. this lead to one of the few high points of the trip room service. nothing earth shaking, but good & convenient. this is a service i will use again during the trip. i go for another walk, have a last smoke & head off to bed hoping tomorrow will be a better day than today was. tomorrow key west. hope you all have a good night. be well. & just for the hell of it...
