i just got my copy of the museum�s annual report. i am pictured in it twice & projects i either headed or am involved in are mentioned in three different department statements. (including the Director�s statement) think it may be time to ask for that raise. in other news, i am heading to Maine today to do a reading for bikers. i love reading poetry for bikers. when they like what you are doing, they let you know. when they don�t like what you are doing, they will let you know. (often by throwing things at you) think of it as a slightly more dangerous (& much more honest) poetry slam. plus, i get to hang out with my bro�Peddlar. we have known each other for years & have our own little mutual admiration society. all in all, it should be a fun night. spent most of the morning dealing with the bank. both ATM cards were screwed up & it took a while to get everything worked out. the guy at the bank was the picture of good customer service... calm, truly helpful, down to earth. took his time & got things worked out for me. so often we bitch when we get bad service somewhere, but how cool is it when someone does their job really well? it was nice to see someone just firing on all cylinders. of course, if the cards get screwed up again i'll kill him. but we�ll deal with that later. hope you all have a good evening. be well. |
