paint
my job is all about the paint right now.
what is the right color?
what shade of yellow works with what shade of black?
(who knew there were so many shades of black?)
the rub is i can�t just pick a color.
there are colors that are off limits.
for example, you can�t show japanese objects with
a white background because white is the color of mourning in japan.
red is a safe bet, but you can�t use red with islamic pieces
green is safe for islamic objects, but not english objects.
& on & on etc ect.
it�s enough to drive you nuts. i�ve spent the whole day looking at paint chips.
finding colors, getting samples, testing.
i have cases that are 9 colors right now.
