went to dinner with the in-laws last night. it went very well. (far be it for a poet to complain about free food.) they seem relaxed & in a good mood. this bodes well for the weekend. they are going out with my folks tonight while my wife is at work so i have a quiet night at home. a friend said she might stop by to visit. would be a nice way to spend the evening. it is rare that i get to spend time with my few friends anymore. its hard when the only time i see any of them is at a reading or online. it�s just not the same as sitting down with some coffee & shooting the breeze. i started my day by mowing the lawn at 8:30 this morning. it may sound strange but that put me in a good mood for the day. i like working in the yard but feel like i just don�t have the time to. something about the smell of fresh cut grass that makes the world a nicer place. they are predicting thunderstorms tonight. i hope we get them. i could go for sitting & watching the lightning tonight. hope you all have a good weekend. |
