so, im sick.
no, not THAT kind of sick. i think i have strep throat. going to see the doctor in two hours to get some meds. the last thing i need right now is to miss work. i am so backlogged it is not even funny. on top of that, im getting interviewed tomorrow about the slam. now you can see why i need to not be sick right now. (like wishing will make it go away).

post nationals fallout has begun. people are pissed & i dont blame them. for all the good of nationals there was a lot of bullshit that went on this year. the slam is at a crossroads & im hoping all the bitching & yelling will evolve into some solid change & not just a bunch of hard feelings.

the trouble is that slam filled its mission & now it needs to figure out what it wants to do next. everyone (myself included) thinks they know what slam needs to do, but no one can get on the same page. there needs to be some common ground & im hoping that the discontent from this year will be that common ground. if slam wants to still be relevant in five years it needs to start evolving now. (or just call it a day & see what springs from its ashes)

went to beckys new house last night & had a good time helping her paint. she had been working hard on finding a house & it is so cool to finally see her in a place she can call her own. (& she has a very cool dog)

the anti-slam is tonight & i am looking forward to it. i need that post-nationals make fun of all things slam release. need to remind myself that this is supposed to be fun. i forget sometimes.

also have a big bomb being dropped at the reading tonight. if you were thinking of passing on the reading tonight dont! i will talk about it tomorrow, but you need to be there to hear it in person. that is all im going to say about it right now. (how is that for a cliffhanger?)

more to say but fading fast. ill write more tomorrow.

hope you all have a good day & hope to see you at the reading tonight.

be well.
